Hello! And thanks for visiting Barnwood & Birch's blog. We are a boutique wedding planning company based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My name is Alicia Troxell and I recently started Barnwood & Birch after getting married last year. I blogged about the entire wedding planning process onWeddingbee.com (as Mrs. Cowboy Boot) and, after the wedding, showcased the outcome. Since then, I've lapsed in my blogging habits and can't wait to dive right back in here.
My plan is to post all things inspiring: photographs of anything that makes my heart flutter. Decor details, hair and make-up, dresses, favors, and more.
So, today, let's take a look at a trend that one of my brides is toying with: Native American and southwestern details.
I love this idea for two reasons: a) this rug can be reused in your home for decoration and b) it will have the significance of your wedding within its fibers.
This runner is an adorable way to work in some color and fun eye candy without it being overwhelming.
On the right side of this image are medicine pouches, given as favors in honor of the bride's Native American heritage.
Succulent boutonnieres fit in perfectly with the desert landscape of the Southwest.
Details like these make me feel absolutely thrilled to plan weddings here in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where we're all about feathers and water-tolerant plants and beautiful Native American crafts like pottery, turquoise, and rugs. Stay tuned for more desert inspiration.
I love the table setting shot. So rustic and romantic.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I followed your wedding on weddingbee (we got married around the same time) and I had total wedding envy. I actually had a totally different wedding (than you did), but I fell totally in love with all of your details. Glad you are still planning events!
